Goodwin
Manufacturing was founded in 1978 by Phillip L. Goodwin, who designed
the first Giraffe™ system to assist him in his hobby, auto restoration.
Within a few months, he realized he had a winner. He began by
marketing automotive systems to auto repair and brake shops. Within
the first year, he realized that the automotive industry was only
one small market that would benefit from Giraffe products. |

By
1982 he had entered the medical market, followed by numerous other
markets where Giraffe™ became a lighting standard. The company
was purchased in 1983 by its present owner and it has continued
to cater to every imaginable aspect of industry with lighting
and magnification products. The manufacturing facility for testing,
production and design sits streamside in the beautiful mountains
of North Georgia, the perfect location for testing Giraffe's fly
tying lamps! |
